Glenorchy Knights have announced former National Soccer League (NSL) player Ibro Cahut as the club’s new senior coach for 2016.
Cahut arrives at the club with an impressive playing resume, including an NSL career of hundreds of games spanning over a decade, as well as a strong history of representing his native state, Tasmania.
Kingborough Lions United FC have announced the appointment of former Glenorchy Knights Coach Mark Broadbent as Head Coach of their new ‘Young Lions’ Youth Academy.
After a tough season as coach of Glenorchy Knights in the Victory League, Broadbent will take up a role in youth development at Kingborough Lions. Glenorchy finished last and Broadbent rode strong external pressure, to stay in the top job of the northern suburbs club for the entire season.
Broadbent will now be responsible for coaching the top youth academy stream at Kingborough, and working with other academy coaches at the club.

The Northern Rangers thrashed the Glenorchy Knights 12-1 in a one sided game at KGV yesterday to all-but sow up fourth spot.
Kenta Yamane, Schalde Andersen and Yitay Towns were the standouts for their side in a comprehensive belting of the lowly Knights. Towns was especially excellent, pulling the strings all game and scoring a goal of the year contender in a stellar individual game.

Hobart Jeep Zebras demolished Glenorchy Knights at KGV last night to the tune of six goals to nil.
Zebras’ Jayden Hey and Adam McKeown did the majority of the damage, notching a brace and a hat-trick respectively to down the struggling Knights, whilst Tyler Harrison pulled the strings, playing it well out of defence against his former side. Hey’s goals were spectacular and were the highlight in a fairly lacklustre contest between two sides at opposite ends of the table.
